Julius Freyhan Foundation was founded in 1984 by Billie Magee solely for the purpose of restoration of the Julius Freyhan High School, which stood for years as an educational monument in West Feliciana Parish.

 

The Julius Freyhan Foundation Fund was established to save this historic building by funding structural reenforcement, bringing up to current building codes (handicap accessible) and other renovations neccessarities. The Julius Freyhan high school will be used as a community center and museum.

The Julius Freyhan Foundation Fund is managed by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation on our behalf. The Baton Rouge Area Foundation is an organization described by I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3) as a non-profit organization that is exempt from federal income tax and to which contributions are tax deductible.
