My knowledge of designing grant programs, approving funding for specific grants, and managing grants will be used to apply for and supervise our LEH grant. I also have many years of experience in creating and leading volunteer organizations and projects. I will use my organizing skills and my network of contacts to plan and implement all phases of the Symposium.

CHAIRMAN- Search Committee to secure the first Executive Director; MEMBER- La. State Arts Council- appointed by Governor. Duties were screening and making recommendations on all grant applications.
FOUNDER: Arts Council of New Orleans as member of the Mayor’s Task Force on the Arts. CONSULTANT 2003-thru 2005: US PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEER for the Salaj County Public Library, Zalau, Romania. Responsible for applying to various National and International Granting Organizations (UNESCO, RITI Access, US Embassy & State Department, AID, etc) and securing grant funds to assist the Library in upgrading and modernizing its programs and services. Researched grant opportunities, wrote grant application, managed the implementation of the grants, monitored the funds, and prepared the final reports. |
